Hex and Base64 converter

Convert text to hex or Base64 and decode it back. Your data stays in this browser.

Text encoding and decoding

Limit: 1,000,000 characters. Spaces and line breaks in text are preserved. Hex and Base64 represent UTF-8 bytes.

How does conversion work?

Hex represents each byte as two hexadecimal digits. Base64 uses the standard alphabet A–Z, a–z, 0–9, + and / with = padding.

Whitespace is ignored when decoding. Invalid UTF-8 is reported as an error. Empty text produces an empty result.

Encoding does not encrypt data. The result can be decoded without a key. Data and results stay in this browser tab.
